Of all the players that spent time as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, who are some that deserve to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Recently, former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Donovan McNabb made it known that he thinks he deserves to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.

While McNabb did have some pretty impressive seasons during his NFL career, he’s probably not going to be voted into the Hall of Fame anytime soon, if ever. However, there are other former Vikings that do actually deserve to have their own bronze bust in Canton.

Currently, 12 of Minnesota’s former players have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (13 if people want to include Brett Favre). Becoming a Hall of Famer is something that happens to less than one percent of those who are lucky enough to have a football career in the NFL.

This year, the Vikings almost had another former player inducted into the Hall of Fame when Steve Hutchinson made it all the way to the final round of voting. However, Hutchinson didn’t end up being one of the five who were selected to get enshrined later this summer.

The former Minnesota offensive lineman will likely get inducted eventually, it just takes a few tries sometimes (just ask Cris Carter). His career resumé is just too impressive for him to not be a Hall of Famer.

So along with Hutchinson, who are a few former Vikings players that deserve to be given their very own gold jacket from the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day?
