He hasn’t peaked yet

Everyone loves Adam Thielen because he’s a guy who has worked his way up from nowhere to get to where he is today.

We all know the story so I won’t get into it too much, but he went from an undrafted rookie to the practice squad, to special teams, to the fifth receiver, and then to stardom since joining the Vikings in 2013. This guy has scrapped and fought for everything he has and along the way, his game just keeps getting better and better.

So maybe it’s possible that Thielen hasn’t even reached his peak yet. He has progressively gotten better in each season he has been in the NFL and maybe he takes another step forward in 2019.

Thielen isn’t going to get any bigger or faster. But he can always study his opponents harder, master Stefanski’s offense to the point where he knows every single possible nuance, and continue to improve his already elite route running.

This goes a little with the first item we discussed but if Thielen can get on a level with Kirk Cousins where they are both anticipating what the other will do, then that will provide a huge boost to the receiver’s overall production next season.

It will be hard for Thielen to get better than he already is, but it’s possible the best for No. 19 is still to come.
