4. Hassan Jones, WR – 1986

A team can never have enough quality pass catchers. That is especially true when a franchise like the Minnesota Vikings can find a gem in the fifth round who would spend seven years wearing purple and gold.

Hassan Jones never managed to reach 1,000 yards on a season. but he did accumulate some good numbers in a few seasons. He had 810 receiving yards in 1990 to go with seven touchdowns and 778 yards in 1988 with five scores.

At the time of this article’s release, Jones sits in tenth place on the list of all-time franchise receiving yardage leaders, totaling 222 catches for 3,733 yards and 24 touchdowns. However, Stefon Diggs is breathing down his neck at 3,493 heading into the 2019 season.

Jones started 56 games for the Minnesota Vikings, playing in 100 total contests. He had over 500 receiving yards in four of his seven seasons with the team, making him a solid contributor who more than earned his fifth-round selection.
