1. Trae Waynes, cornerback

The Minnesota Vikings may be focusing on the offensive side of the ball this year, but that doesn’t mean that one of the better contributors from the team’s defense should be ignored heading into the final year of his deal.

Right now, Trae Waynes is playing on the fifth year option of his contract. With all the deals being handed out and rumors of the team trying to trade him before the draft, it would be shocking to see him stay in Minnesota after this year.

That is highly disappointing since the cornerback is coming off his best year according to Pro Football Focus in overall defense and run support. Add in 39 starts in 60 games played with 178 combined tackles with 151 of them being solo, and the team will be missing a big contributor.

With the team having some talent on the roster at cornerback, Minnesota may think they can let Waynes walk and not see much of a drop in play. But that is a risk they seem to be willing to take moving ahead. However, it would have been nice to have him around if the team could afford to.
