Kendall Wright – WR

Kendall Wright was a former first-round pick of the Tennesse Titans in the 2012 Draft. He wasn’t the biggest or fastest receiver out there, but he ran crisp routes and he had very sticky mitts.

Wright was very productive early in his Titans career. His best season was in year two where he caught 94 passes for 1,079 yards. He was never a touchdown machine as he averaged just 3.6 scores per season.

Wright stuck around in Tenessee for five seasons. His time there wasn’t the smoothest as he played in a couple of different offenses and had a plethora of quarterbacks throwing him the football during his career in powder blue.

In 2017, Wright and became a free agent and he signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Despite going on to be the Bears’ leading receiver that season, the team opted not to re-sign him and he, once again, found himself as a free agent in 2018.

That’s when the Vikings swooped in and signed Wright in late March of the 2018 offseason. They had hoped he’d be able to replace some of the slot production they were going to be losing with Jarius Wright moving on to the Carolina Panthers.

Those hopes proved to be futile as Wright didn’t even make the Vikings’ final 53-man roster after making just one catch during the entire 2018 preseason.

Wright also had some off-the-field concerns that stemmed from being involved in a car crash with former college teammate Terrence Williams, which certainly didn’t help his chances of sticking on with the Purple.

It was a fun few months having Wright be a member of Minnesota’s roster, but it is surely one that many Vikings fans have probably already forgotten it ever happened.
