Cousins working hard to get to the next level

Putting up impressive stats has never been something Kirk Cousins has struggled with during his career as a starting quarterback in the NFL. For whatever reason, however, Cousins hasn’t managed to figure out how to turn those big-time numbers into helping his team find success in the playoffs.

The Vikings missed the postseason last year during Cousins’ first year as their starting quarterback and he’s only ever started in one playoff game during his time in the league. Despite how impressive his stats may be, he knows he has to figure out how to get his team over the mediocre hump and win some big games.

Cousins even recently commented on how he’s not happy with being known as a .500 quarterback in the NFL.

Now with an offensive scheme that is expected to play more to his strengths, he has the opportunity to alter his legacy in 2019. If he can lead Minnesota on a deep playoff run next season, it could be the start of a new and improved version of Kirk Cousins.
