Aldrick Robinson – WR
Signed two weeks into the season, Aldrick Robinson ended up being a pleasant surprise for the Vikings last year. Robinson only caught 17 passes in 2018, but he turned five of them into touchdowns.
When Laquon Treadwell forgot how to catch last season, Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins turned to Robinson to provide the offense a spark. It would have been interesting to see how a full offseason with the Vikings would have benefited the 30-year-old receiver.
However, Robinson will be attempting to find success with the Carolina Panthers in 2019 and not with Minnesota.
For an offense that could use a few more receiving weapons outside of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, the Vikings keeping Robinson around for next season could have yielded some pretty positive results.
He would likely be in the thick of Minnesota’s No. 3 receiver battle right now and he would have a good shot at winning the role. But instead, Robinson will attempt to be productive in a Panthers offense led by former Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner.
