NFL Media’s Adam Rank, a known fan of the Chicago Bears, recently predicted the Minnesota Vikings to finish with a 5-11 record in 2019.

Last year, the Minnesota Vikings were a trendy pick by many to earn a trip to the Super Bowl. The Vikings ended up not even making the playoffs in 2018, but they did still manage to finish with a winning record.

Heading into the 2019 season, Minnesota is hoping to rebound from last year’s disappointment and at least earn a spot in the postseason. With a number of players returning from their 2018 roster, the Vikings seem to have a good shot at even returning to contender status in the NFC next season.

However, there are still some out there who believe Minnesota will be left out of the playoff race for the second year in a row. NFL Media’s Adam Rank is one of these non-believers in the Vikings’ heading into next season.

Recently, Rank took a stab at doing a game-by-game 2019 record prediction for Minnesota. After going through all 16 of the Vikings’ matchups next season, he came up with them finishing with a 5-11 record.

Yes, he has Minnesota only winning five games in 2019. A win total that the Vikings have failed to surpass just twice since 2002.

It should be noted that Rank is a fan of the Chicago Bears, a fellow member of the NFC North. So his fandom might have played just a tiny part in his 2019 prediction for Minnesota.

Rank has also stated in the recent past that he would be, “shocked,” if the Bears are not in the Super Bowl next season. Oh and last year, he predicted Chicago to finish with a 15-1 record.

So one has to believe that Rank’s Bears bias is having a heavy influence on how he thinks the Vikings will perform in 2019.

Just for laughs, what record do you think he ended up predicting for Chicago next season? Well, this may be hard for some to believe this, but Rank thinks the Bears will finish with a 13-3 record in 2019.
