Vikings announce schedule, new rules for 2019 training camp

The Minnesota Vikings 2019 season is one step closer as the team revealed on Thursday that their first training camp practice will take place on July 26.

It’s been more than six months since the Minnesota Vikings last played in a meaningful football game. But it won’t be much longer before the Vikings are back on the field inside U.S. Bank Stadium for their 2019 season opener.

The start of training camp always seems to signify the official start of a new year in the NFL and on Thursday, Minnesota revealed when their players will be reporting to training camp this summer.

On Friday, July 26, the Vikings will hold their first full-team training camp practice of 2019 at the TCO Performance Center in Eagan, Minnesota. The Vikings will also hold three practices prior to this one for rookies and other new members of the team to attend.

Minnesota’s final practice of training camp will take place on Friday, August 16. Their full practice schedule for training camp can be viewed here.

Unlike in years past, fans will not be able to attend the Vikings’ walk-throughs or any of their three rookie practices this summer. Fans will only be able to watch Minnesota’s afternoon practice sessions and their one Saturday evening practice on August 3 this year.

In addition, Vikings fans must now be no older than 18-years-old to attend the team’s daily autograph sessions that they hold during training camp. However, one adult is allowed to accompany each child in line that would like to get a player’s autograph.

Fans who would like to attend Minnesota’s training camp this year can do so by heading to the team’s website and reserving up to four tickets. General admission tickets are free and reserved seating is available for $15.
