Joe Buck might not be an announcer many fans of the Minnesota Vikings love, but the FOX commentator has a place in his heart for the Minneapolis Miracle.

Many fans of the Minnesota Vikings still have a bitter taste in their mouths from when NFL commentator Joe Buck called the mooning celebration by Randy Moss in Green Bay “a disgusting act” but perhaps they should give the announcer another chance.

Sometimes, listening to him and the insufferable Troy Aikman calling a game can be painful to the ears, but having them in the booth when Minnesota plays means that the contest is reaching a large audience.

But there is at least one moment that both Vikings fans and Joe Buck can agree is one of the best moments ever: the Minneapolis Miracle.

Recently, The Washington Post asked Buck what his five favorite calls he ever made were and his commentating during the big moment of the playoff game between Minnesota and the New Orleans Saints took the top spot.

It’s hard to forget the call. Of course, there is the famous one from Paul Allen that many Vikings fans heard, but those watching the game on a national broadcast got to hear Joe Buck say the now iconic words “Diggs! Sideline! Touchdown! Unbelievable!”

This moment, as well as the iconic call from Joe Buck, will likely give fans of the Minnesota Vikings goosebumps just seeing or hearing it…even after two years removed from the amazing play.

The other great moments listed by Buck include Yankees/Braves in 1996, the Mark McGuire home run in 1998, David Freese’s World Series home run in 2011, and Plexico Burress’ Super Bowl touchdown catch in Super Bowl XLII.
