1994: Todd Steussie, offensive tackle – Round 1 (pick 19 overall)

The first offensive lineman on the list is also the team’s first offensive lineman chosen in the first round. Todd Steussie may not be a household name among Vikings fans, but his impact was a big one on the team.

Steussie entered the team as the starting left tackle and held onto that job for seven seasons before leaving Minnesota in 2001. However, it was his efforts on the offensive line that helped the team’s offense do so well.

Named to the Pro Bowl in 1997 and 1998, the former member of the California Golden Bears started 15 games during the team’s amazing 15-1 season which happened during his fifth year with the franchise.

At six-foot-six and 308 pounds, Steussie proved his value as a first round pick and followed in the footsteps of some of the other great left tackles picked by the franchise in history by playing in 111 total games, starting all of those contests.

Honorable mention: Dewayne Washington, DB – NC State (Round 1)
