The current Minnesota Vikings wide receiver is coming off of two straight seasons with over 1,000 yards, but he’s still not getting enough respect.

Adam Thielen has had to fight and claw to get where he is today with the Minnesota Vikings. It wasn’t too long ago where Thielen was a member of the Vikings’ practice squad.

But heading into the 2019 season, he is arguably Minnesota’s most talented receiver. Thielen is coming off a 2018 performance that saw him finish with 113 catches for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns.

He also finished with at least 1,000 receiving yards for the second-straight season. Something no Vikings player has done since some guy named Randy Moss accomplished this in 2002 and 2003.

Despite his impressive performance last year, Thielen still isn’t getting the respect he rightfully deserves.

Athlon Sports recently ranked their 50 best NFL players for 2019 and the Minnesota receiver was left off of the list. Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter, who came in at No. 43, was the only member of the team who ended up being included in the top 50.

Not only did Athlon not include Thielen in their 50 best players list, but they also have him as the 14th-best receiver in their 2019 wide receiver rankings. Guys like Julian Edelman, T.Y. Hilton, and Amari Cooper were placed higher on the list than the Minnesota receiver.

Those other receivers are talented, but none of them have been as productive as Thielen has over the last two seasons. It’s not even close.

But that’s fine. This will just be more fuel to add to the fire that drives Thielen to be the greatest he can be each and every time he steps out onto the field.
