Kubiak’s offense

Gary Kubiak may not be the Vikings offensive coordinator in 2019, as that is Kevin Stefanski’s official job, but his presence will be all over this offense. Kubiak loves to run the football. He also loves using two tight end sets and that is something that will benefit Kyle Rudolph in 2019.

The two tight end sets will allow Kyle Rudolph to be on the field much more this upcoming season. It will also mask what the Vikings intend to do out of these formations, making defenses guess at whether the Vikings will be passing or running. This will give Rudolph and advantage and make it easier for him to beat his man and get open.

A successful running game will also open up big play opportunities for Rudolph which could increase his overall yardage total this upcoming season.

If the Vikings are able to consistently run the football, defenses will begin to do all they can to stop it. This could open the door for a play action pass down the seam, giving Rudolph some big-play opportunities, which could lead to an increase in receiving yards and touchdowns.
