The biggest firecrackers on the 2019 Minnesota Vikings
By Nik Edlund
Danielle Hunter
Yes, defensive players can be firecrackers too and there isn’t a more explosive player on the Vikings’ defensive line than Danielle Hunter.
Hunter is an absolute freak. His muscles have muscles and he’s got the ideal long lanky frame to play defensive end in the NFL. This guy is extremely quick off the ball and he closes in on the passer in a hurry.
In his career, Hunter has had a ton of explosive plays. Last year alone he had 14.5 sacks. In his four-year career, he’s already amassed 40 sacks. That is insane.
Hunter isn’t just an explosive pass rusher, he’s also a stout run defender. This guy has a knack for staying on his block just long enough to read where the ball carrier is going, before throwing his man off and then closing in quickly to swallow up the ball carrier.
The craziest stat about Hunter is that he is still just 24-years-old. This guy is just beginning to scratch the surface of his potential. He now has the experience to match his elite physical traits.
It’s this combination that could lead Hunter to have the most explosive season of his already impressive young career in 2019.
