If Diggs is on this list than his running mate, Adam Thielen, also needs to be on this list. In terms of firecrackers, Diggs is probably an M-80 while Thielen is probably a ladyfinger. Diggs may be capable of more high powered plays while Thielen is powerful, yet consistent.

Thielen is explosive without having elite measurables and that is what makes him truly fascinating.

He isn’t huge, standing just 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 200 pounds. He’s plenty fast, but he probably isn’t going to finish in the top 20 of NFL wide receivers if a race were to be held. But what this guy does have are hands of pure sap, precision route running, and an unflickering will to succeed.

Thielen has his fair share of explosive plays in his career. He’s had 56 career receptions of 20-plus yards and 11 that went for gains of 40 or more yards. On second thought, maybe he actually is the M-80 of the Vikings’ receiver group.

Like Diggs, there is a chance Thielen is even more explosive in 2019. He’ll be in his second season with Kirk Cousins and those two can take their rapport to a whole new level. The running game should also be more existent for Minnesota in 2019 and that could lead to some big-play opportunities down the field for No. 19.
