Passing Yards

Current Record: 4,717 (Daunte Culpepper, 2004)

During his first season as the Vikings’ starting quarterback in 2018, Kirk Cousins put up some very impressive numbers. In 16 games, Cousins was able to throw for 4,298 yards and 30 touchdowns.

His totals from last year already ranks among some of the best single-season performances ever by a Minnesota quarterback.

Cousins’ yardage total in 2018 is the second-most during a single-season in Vikings history and he is only the fifth Minnesota signal-caller to ever finish a year with at least 30 touchdown passes.

The Vikings’ current quarterback is definitely capable of breaking Culpepper‘s all-time single-season passing yardage record in 2019. It’s not hard to see this happening next season because Cousins has actually thrown for a higher amount once already during his NFL career.

As a member of the Washington Redskins in 2016, he threw for a total of 4,917 yards. Cousins also attempted 606 passes that year, so how much he’s throwing the ball during the upcoming season will certainly play a big a factor in him breaking Culpepper’s record or not.

Prediction: The record stands
