Catches

Current Record: 122 (Cris Carter, 1994 and 1995)

This record is a little more interesting than the others on this list because it could potentially be broken by Adam Thielen or Stefon Diggs in 2019. Both are capable of hauling in a high number of passes during the upcoming season.

Last year, both Thielen and Diggs finished with at more than 100 catches. Through his first 11 games in 2018, Thielen had already hauled in a total of 93 passes and he was actually on pace to break Carter’s single-season catch record.

But then opposing defenses started to focus more on stopping the talented Vikings receiver from hurting them and he managed just 20 catches during the team’s final five matchups.

Interestingly enough, Diggs was also on pace to break Carter’s record last season after his first 10 games. But then he started to see more attention from opposing defenses like Thielen and he also wasn’t able to finish the year as strong as he started it.

Both current Minnesota receivers could break Carter’s catch record in 2019. But it seems more likely that if a new mark is going to be set, it will be done by either Thielen or Diggs and not both.

Prediction: Record broken by Thielen
