Big Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2020 may include some Vikings

With a rumored expanded class going in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020, there is a chance some underappreciated Minnesota Vikings could get in.
By now, many fans have likely heard the news first reported by Pro Football Talk that the Pro Football Hall of Fame is considering inducting a mega-class for enshrinement in 2020 which could include some former Minnesota Vikings.
The way the inductees are set to be divided up include the following: two coaches, three contributors, five modern-era players, and ten senior players, totaling twenty total inductees if the proposal passes a vote from the board on Aug. 2.
With so many players likely being inducted in the Class of 2020, the odds of a member of the Minnesota Vikings being included is quite high.
As far as modern-era players, guard Steve Hutchinson will eventually be enshrined and could find that actually happening next year. Outside of him, there are two other great options for induction next year.
Of course, the most obvious would be a senior player. For many years, the Vikings and fans of the team have been pushing for Jim Marshall to finally be enshrined. So far, that has been an uphill battle. However, this mega-class would be the perfect opportunity to right that wrong.
Also, there is a chance the Pro Football Hall of Fame will recognize the contributions of Dennis Green as both a coach in the NFL from being the special teams coach with the 49ers in 1979 to the head coach of the Cardinals in 2006, spending a decade with Minnesota in the middle.
As it stands, there are 318 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Add in the eight inductees this year and the possible 20-person class of 2020, and you have quite the group of amazing individuals being put on display in Canton, Ohio. Of course, fans of the Minnesota Vikings will always be rooting for those who wore the purple and gold to get a gold jacket.
