8. Carl Lee and Najee Mustafaa (1989-1991)

The Vikings selected Carl Lee in the seventh round of the 1983 draft. Lee made an impact as a rookie, starting three games and getting his first interception. He played 11 seasons with the Vikings and is sixth on the Vikings’ all-time list for interceptions with 29.
In 1987 Najee Mustafaa joined the team as a fourth-round draft pick. By 1989 he was the full-time starter alongside Lee. Their three seasons together ended after the 1991 season, Mustafaa’s last in Minnesota.
With 11 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Lee will appear couple more times in the ranking.
7. Ed Sharockman and George Rose (1964-1965)

Ed Sharockman played 12 seasons with the Vikings from their inaugural year in 1961. A fifth-round draft pick, Sharockman became the starting right cornerback in 1962 and started 93 over the next seven seasons.
George Rose joined the Vikings as a third-round pick in 1964 and started 13 of 14 games as a rookie. In his second year, he only started 10 games and was relegated to being a backup by 1966 before leaving the Vikings to play with the Saints in 1967.
This pair averaged seven interceptions per season. They alternated in their two seasons together picking off six passes. Rose was first with six in his rookie season and Sharockman followed with six in 1965.
Sharockman’s long career with the Minnesota Vikings means he will appear again in this ranking.
