When this year’s training camp and preseason come to a close for the Minnesota Vikings, who will be the winners of some of their biggest positional battles?

Each year, the Minnesota Vikings and every other team around the NFL use their time in training camp and the preseason to help determine the outcomes of specific positional battles.

Luckily for the Vikings, the positions they need to sort out this summer are not extremely vital to their success in 2019.

Minnesota already knows who the majority of their starters will be for the upcoming season, so they will be using this year’s training camp to figure out who will end up as some of their top reserves.

And for just the second time since Mike Zimmer became the Vikings’ head coach in 2014, the team will begin training camp with the same starting quarterback that they had during the previous year’s camp.

Roughly, there are about six positional battles that will be taking place during Minnesota’s upcoming training camp and preseason. When the dust settles at the end of the preseason, which current players on the Vikings’ roster will end up coming out as the winners in each of these battles?
