Who is the highest rated Vikings player in Madden NFL 20?

The latest ratings for the popular video game were released on Monday and the Minnesota Vikings have two players tied for the highest rating on the roster.

For more than two decades, the Madden video game franchise has made a tremendous impact on the popularity of the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL. For some fans, this game is how they learn about the newest additions to their favorite team’s roster.

Every year, EA Sports releases a new version of the video game and new ratings for each player in the league. On Monday, the ratings for every player in Madden NFL 20 were revealed to the public and we now know who ranks the highest on the Vikings’ current roster.

Each with an overall rating of 94, Adam Thielen and Harrison Smith are tied for the top mark on Minnesota’s 2019 roster. Stefon Diggs (93), Danielle Hunter (86), Linval Joseph (86), and Xavier Rhodes (86) make up the rest of the top portion of the Vikings’ player rankings in Madden NFL 20.

No other strong safety in this year’s game has a higher overall rating than Smith’s 94 and Thielen and Diggs’ overall ratings rank as the fifth and sixth-best respectively among all the wide receivers in the league.

Hunter’s rating seems a bit low considering how he’s coming off a 2018 season that saw him finish with 14.5 sacks and earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl. The talented Minnesota pass rusher’s overall rating is tied for the eighth-highest among all defensive ends in Madden NFL 20.

Some other notable ratings on the Vikings’ roster includes Kirk Cousins at 81, Dalvin Cook at 85, Anthony Barr at 82, and Kyle Rudolph at 85.

Overall, the Vikings’ team rating (83) is tied for the seventh-highest in this year’s game. Minnesota’s defensive rating (86) is tied for the second-highest and their offensive rating (80) is tied for the 10th-highest.
