7. Cris Carter (1995)

Stats:

  • 122 catches, 1,371 yards, 17 touchdowns

Cris Carter is arguably the greatest wide receiver to ever suit up for the Vikings. Carter holds a ton of Minnesota receiving records and it’s hard to imagine any player ever reaching the bar that he set so high.

One Vikings record he still owns is the mark for the most receptions in a single season with 122. Carter actually caught 122 passes in both 1994 and 1995, but his second season with the record-setting amount was the better of the two.

In addition to his 122 catches, his 1,371 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns were both also Minnesota records before some guy named Randy Moss came along.

Best Game: Week 11 at Arizona

Carter exploded in this matchup against the Cardinals, finishing the day with 12 catches for 157 yards and two touchdowns. It was one of seven games during the 1995 season in which the Vikings receiver caught at least two touchdowns.
