7 best single-season performances in Vikings history
By Adam Patrick
5. Randy Moss (1998)
Stats:
- 69 catches, 1,313, 17 touchdowns
During his career with the Vikings, Randy Moss had a number of very productive seasons. However, Moss’ performance in 1998 was more impressive than the others due to it being his very first year in the NFL.
His impact on Minnesota’s offense was instant and he was virtually unstoppable, even as a rookie. Moss quickly made every team that passed on him during the draft very, very regretful.
Best Game: Week 13 at Dallas
Speaking of making teams regretful, that’s exactly what he did to the Cowboys during this Thanksgiving matchup.
Moss only had three catches in the game, but that’s all he needed. He turned each of those three receptions into touchdowns and he finished the day with a total of 163 receiving yards.
