The Rest: Tyler Conklin, Cole Hikutini, Brandon Dillon
Tyler Conklin had some promise coming to the Minneota Vikings out of Central Michigan, but that just hasn’t materialized in his first two years in the league. He battled injuries in his rookie year and couldn’t step up to take a bigger role in his second season. With Smith now in the fold, it’s possible that Conklin will be on the roster bubble entering camp.
Cole Hikuntini spent the 2018 season on the practice squad but has sparingly made appearances on the main roster. The Louisville product will need a lot to go his way to make the 53-man cut coming out of training camp.
Brandon Dillon is the final candidate for the Vikings as a rookie out of Marian. The NAIA standout is just the second Marian product to sign an NFL contract as wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, who also plays for the Colts. Dillon will be a candidate to make the Vikings’ practice squad with a strong camp.
