LeGarrette Blount – RB

Talent is definitely something the current Vikings offensive backfield is not lacking. Experience, however, is another story.

Ameer Abdullah has spent more time in the league than any other running back on Minnesota’s current roster. But Abdullah might not even be among the Vikings’ final 53 for 2019.

For the last two years, Latavius Murray assumed the role as Minnesota’s No. 2 running back. Murray is now a member of the New Orleans Saints though and the Vikings still have to figure out who will be their backup behind Dalvin Cook for this season.

LeGarrette Blount is a bruising running back who is coming off a year in the NFC North with the Detroit Lions. Blount would be a great player for Minnesota to have in short-yardage situations and he’s been a part of three Super Bowl-winning rosters, so he knows what it takes to reach the ultimate goal.

If the Vikings end up not being satisfied with their current running backs during training camp and the preseason this year, Blount could be a player they consider bringing in.
