The unstoppable receiving duo
Prior to the 2018 season, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs were already being considered as the best receiving duo in the NFL. After their latest campaign, there should be no more doubts about Thielen and Diggs being known as the top receiving duo in the league.
The two talented Vikings pass catchers are coming off a season in which both finished with more than 100 catches and 1,000 receiving yards. No pair of Minnesota receivers had ever accomplished this before Thielen and Diggs did in 2018.
Interestingly enough, new Vikings offensive advisor Gary Kubiak had a pair of wide receivers in Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey accomplish the same thing when he was the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos in 2000. The Broncos also ended up having the NFL’s second-best scoring offense that season too.
Imagine what Kubiak could do to enhance Thielen and Diggs’ abilities in 2019. It really seems like the sky is the limit this season for Minnesota’s latest dynamic receiving duo.
