Kirk Cousins grills up rewards for the Minnesota Vikings offensive line

Kirk Cousins has made an investment in the success of the Minnesota Vikings offensive line by giving them each a gift before the 2019 NFL season.
Every once in a while, a player will reward their teammates for a job well done by buying them gifts. For example, fans of the Minnesota Vikings may remember when running back Adrian Peterson bought his starting offensive linemen snowmobiles the year he won the NFL MVP award.
However, quarterback Kirk Cousins is making a few changes to the rules of rewarding his teammates and has already purchased gifts for his offensive line as a way to show his appreciation for what they do for him on the football field.
Cousins has been lucky when it comes to his health. The passer hasn’t missed a single game since becoming a starter for the Washington Redskins in 2015 and thew a career-high 30 touchdowns with Minnesota in 2018.
In a video shared by Yahoo Sports on YouTube, part of the credit for his health goes to his hyperbaric chamber while the players blocking for him are also greatly appreciated.
According to Yahoo Sports, Cousins rewarded his teammates for keeping him on the field by purchasing each of them a backyard grill, spending a total of $21,980.35 on a dozen grills for the offensive line.
In the past, Cousins has rewarded his teammates with things like suits and plane tickets, but it is fitting that his Minnesota offensive linemen were given something they could use when taking advantage of the amazing hunting in the area.
Of course, Vikings fans will be able to tell you that Minnesota’s offensive line was one of the weaknesses last season and their inability to open running holes and provide time for their quarterback resulted in the team going strong in both the NFL Draft as well as free agency in an attempt to improve the unit for 2019.

Hopefully, the team’s changes on the line, as well as the gifts from Cousins, will have great results on the offensive line and the team will have a lot more success offensively during the 2019 NFL season. If not, at least they will be able to grill up some amazing steaks during the offseason.
