4 underrated Vikings to watch during training camp

Karter Schult – DE
The existence of the AAF didn’t last very long, but it was around long enough for Karter Schult to rack up seven sacks in eight games. As a member of the AAF’s Salt Lake Stallions earlier this year, Schult led the league with a total of 49 quarterback pressures.
This shouldn’t be too surprising though since he finished his senior season at Northern Iowa in 2016 with 17 sacks. Schult just has a knack for getting to the opposing quarterback
Could he emerge as someone to provide depth for the Vikings’ pass rush this year? He certainly has a good chance at least.
With Danielle Hunter, Everson Griffen, and Stephen Weatherly all but guaranteed a spot on Minnesota’s final 2019 roster, there may only be one or two more additional defensive ends kept around for the regular season.
Competing with Schult for one of the backup defensive end spots are guys like Ade Aruna, Tashawn Bower, Stacy Keeley, Ifeadi Odenigbo, and Anree Saint-Amour.
None of these players really stand out as favorites to land on the Vikings’ final roster, which means Schult has as good a shot to make the team as his competition this year.
