1. Adam Thielen – WR

By now, we all know Adam Thielen’s amazing story about how he made it to the NFL. A kid from Minnesota who went to a small college in Mankato, Minnesota who got his chance as an undrafted free agent for the Vikings.

Thielen worked himself up from a special teams player to one of the best receivers in the league. He mastered his craft at running some of the cleanest and most crisp routes and having some of the best hands in the NFL.

These attributes contributed to him being one of the most consistent receivers in the league last year. Thielen had over 100 yards receiving in each of the first eight games of the season. A tremendous feat that only former Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has been able to do.

But after the firing of Minnesota offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, Thielen’s production took a dip downward. In the four games after the firing, Thielen only managed 207 receiving yards and he was not able to register a touchdown in that time.

The Vikings were in a downward spiral during this time as they watched their playoff hopes dwindle into the abyss. Expect Thielen to bounce back from a disappointing second half of 2018 and have another constant and productive year in 2019.
