Stefon Diggs has proven himself to be an offensive threat for the Minnesota Vikings and his peers have recognized that by voting him into the NFL Network’s Top 100 of 2019 list.

There is absolutely no doubt that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs can make plays. All fans of the team need to do in order to remind themselves of his skill is head over to YouTube and watch the Minneapolis Miracle one more time.

However, the wide receiver has proven himself on the football field on multiple occasions, not just in one of the most amazing and entertaining moments in NFL playoff history. And his statistics will prove that.

2018 found Diggs surpass the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his career. Although he had flirted with that number in the past, the pass-catcher showed great ability to make tough catches and create yards after the catch last year.

Diggs’ peers have taken notice of his efforts as well. For the second consecutive year, the wide receiver has been voted onto NFL Network’s Top 100 countdown, falling from number 65 last year to 73 on the 2019 list.

His drop on the list can’t be put too much on his individual play. Diggs had career-high numbers in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,021), and receiving touchdowns (9) during his first season with new quarterback Kirk Cousins.

He and Adam Thielen have combined to make one of the most fearsome wide receiving duos in the NFL. With the great route running, amazing hands, and versatility the two offer, a coaching staff can open up the offense and find success in many different ways.

Diggs is the third Vikings players included on the list. Quarterback Kirk Cousins landed at 78 on the countdown while safety Harrison Smith was ranked peculiarly at 83.

Congratulations to Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs on being recognized for his play by his peers and hopefully he will return to the list in 2020 and move up the Top 100 countdown from NFL Network thanks to more great play!
