After a disappointing outcome last year, how will the Minnesota Vikings do when they step back out onto the field for the 2019 season?

Super Bowl or bust was the expectation for the Minnesota Vikings a year ago. Unfortunately for the Vikings, their 2018 season ended up just being a big old fashioned bust.

After making it all the way to the NFC Championship in 2017, Minnesota didn’t even perform well enough last year to earn a spot in the playoffs. They came close, but the Vikings failed to step up numerous times last season when their backs were against the wall.

Minnesota’s failures in 2018 were due to a number of different factors. In the end, everything just proved to be too much for the Vikings to overcome and have a successful year.

For 2019, Minnesota gets a clean slate. The majority of their roster from last season is back and they’re all itching to put the memories of 2018 in the distant past.

Will this hunger translate into a better performance from the Vikings this year? If it doesn’t, there could be some big-time changes made to the franchise after the season.

Once Minnesota takes the field in Week 1 for their first matchup of the year against the Atlanta Falcons, what are some of the things we can expect from the purple and gold in 2019?
