Vikings win the NFC North

With Mike Zimmer leading the way during the past five seasons, the Vikings have been able to capture a pair of NFC North titles. Minnesota had the talent to win the division last year, but obviously everything didn’t end up working out that way.

During the two seasons that ended with them on top of the NFC North, the Vikings won at least 11 games. This is an amount Minnesota will likely have to finish with again in order to win the division in 2019.

Standing in the way of the Vikings winning the NFC North this season is the Chicago Bears. Some would say the Green Bay Packers are competition as well. But the Packers haven’t won more than seven games since 2016 and they have a rookie head coach, so they shouldn’t be much to worry about until proven otherwise.

But the Bears are coming off of a 12-win season that included victories in each of their two matchups against Minnesota. With a first-place schedule in 2019 though, there is a chance that Chicago could come back down to earth.

However, it’s also very possible that the NFC North title could be on the line when the Vikings host the Bears in their 2019 season finale. But since this is supposed to be a prediction, we’ll just say that Chicago will regress this year which will allow Minnesota to take back control of the division.

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the Detroit Lions will be too busy working on their posture to compete for the top of the NFC North this season.
