The Minnesota Vikings kicked off their first full-team session of training camp on Friday as the team prepares for the upcoming 2019 NFL season.

Finally, the official start of training camp is here for the Minnesota Vikings. Yes, they’ve already had a few practices this week, but those were mainly for the rookies and some of the younger guys to get a couple of extra reps in before the rest of the team arrived on Thursday.

The Vikings held their first full-team training camp practice of 2019 on Friday at the beautiful TCO Performance Center. As much as some things have changed for Minnesota this offseason, Friday’s practice brought about some old habits that the team still can’t figure out how to kick to the curb.

Unfortunately, not every player on the Vikings’ current roster was able to participate in the first full-team practice.

Minnesota announced earlier on Friday that cornerback Mike Hughes, tight end David Morgan, and wide receiver Brandon Zylstra are all beginning training camp on the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list. In addition to these three, defensive end Tashawn Bower and defensive tackle Shamar Stephen are also starting camp on the active/non-football injury (NFI) list.

So after the first meaningful day of camp practice for the Vikings on Friday, what are some of the main takeaways from everything that went down?
