Hill being phased out
When asked on Friday about his thoughts on Holton Hill’s most recent suspension, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer didn’t really want to comment on the matter. But the look of disappointment on Zimmer’s face is all anyone needed to see to figure out how the head coach feels about the situation.
On Saturday, Minnesota’s current feelings about Hill being with the team in 2019 were made even more clear.
During the team drill portion of Saturday’s practice, the young Vikings corner was not a participant. He did partake in individual drills, but other players like rookie Kris Boyd were given opportunities to play with the second-team defense instead of Hill on Saturday.

With this happening in practice and Minnesota continuing to bring in free-agent corners for workouts, it seems like Hill’s days in a purple and gold uniform are pretty much numbered.
