Vikings Training Camp 2019: Top 4 takeaways from Day 3

Top offensive rookies impressive in pads
Since the Vikings selected him in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, pretty much everything center Garrett Bradbury has done has left his teammates and coaches impressed.
This is something that continued during Sunday’s practice as Minnesota’s coaches got their first look at Bradbury in pads going up against the first-team defense. So far, so good with the rookie center as he seemed to hold his own against the Vikings’ interior defenders.
In the backfield behind Bradbury, Minnesota rookie running back Alexander Mattison also had himself a nice performance on Sunday. Putting on the pads really seemed to bring out some of Mattison’s best traits as a physical runner in between the tackles.
Even though Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer hasn’t been too pleased with some of the team’s later-round draft picks on the offensive side of the ball this year, he has to at least be satisfied with the play from Bradbury and Mattison so far.
