5 Vikings who could land with another team in 2019

Holton Hill – CB
Holton Hill had a very surprising and very productive rookie season in 2018. The undrafted corner out of Texas was thrust into action after injuries to Mike Hughes and Xavier Rhodes and he more than held his own.
He ended up playing in all 16 games last season and he racked up 36 tackles and one interception. The problem with this guy isn’t his play on the field, it’s his play off of it.
Hill was suspended for four games earlier this year for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances. Just recently, he got an additional four games tacked on for violating the league’s policy and program on substances of abuse.
This shows immaturity beyond imagine and he definitely lacks self-discipline. The question that faces the Vikings now is if they want to continue dealing with this guy or if they’d rather just cut their losses now and move on.
What makes this decision so difficult is the talent Hill possesses and what kind of player he could eventually be if he continues to progress.
If Minnesota decides they don’t want to deal with any more of Hill’s drama and cut him, there should be plenty of teams willing to roll the dice on him.
Corners with his kind of talent who are able to translate it onto the field early in their careers are quite rare. A new team could see the talent Hill possesses, not worry about the baggage, and find room on their roster for him.
