Cousins to Rudolph connection growing stronger

This past offseason, there was a chance that Kyle Rudolph was on his way out of Minnesota. However, Rudolph and the Vikings were able to work out a new deal and the veteran tight end has been playing really well during this year’s training camp.

Rudolph and Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins had a good connection last season, but it seems even better this year. Cousins has tossed passes to his top tight often during this year’s camp, especially when the team has done work in the red zone.

During his presser on Wednesday, the Vikings quarterback admitted that he regrets not throwing more in the direction of Rudolph last season. This year though, Cousins says his trust in the tight end is much higher and he’s been taking more chances when it seems like Rudolph is covered pretty well.

Some believed the veteran tight end’s time in Minnesota could be nearing the end when the team drafted Irv Smith Jr. earlier this year. However, Rudolph’s play in camp seems to indicate that he could potentially be entering a very productive season.
