The Minnesota Vikings took the field at the TCO Performance Center on Saturday evening for their one and only night practice of this year’s training camp.

Another practice is in the books and the Minnesota Vikings are one step closer to playing in an actual organized football game against another team. On Saturday, Vikings fans got to see their team perform under the lights at the TCO Performance Center during the only night practice of this year’s training camp.

The atmosphere in the stadium on Saturday was electric and it is probably as good as it will get until Minnesota kicks off the regular season inside U.S. Bank Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons.

Saturday night’s session saw a number of impressive moments from both sides of the ball. Even the Vikings’ special teams had themselves a practice they should be pretty satisfied with.

Not participating during Saturday’s practice were Dalvin Cook, Kyle Rudolph, Ade Aruna, Jalyn Holmes, Aviante Collins, Mike Hughes, and David Morgan. Cook and Rudolph sitting out is not believed to be injury related, so don’t start freaking out.

Reserve defensive tackle Curtis Cothran returned to action on Saturday night after missing some practice time with an undisclosed injury. In addition to the players who sat out Saturday’s practice, Linval Joseph and Shamar Stephen did not participate in Minnesota’s 11-on-11 portion of the session.

For those Vikings players that actually did hit the field in pads for practice, what are some of the biggest takeaways from everything that happened under the lights?
