Wrong: The most important piece disrespected

It’s hard to understand why anyone outside the Minnesota Vikings fan base doesn’t understand how important Harrison Smith is to the team’s success. And sadly, that lack of knowledge seems to have flowed over to his peers when they voted on this list.

This isn’t the first time Smith has been ranked absurdly low on this list. His placement at 83 is an absolute joke. At first, it looked as though voters figured out their mistake with him by ranking him at 74 in 2017 and then fixing that by putting him at 46 in 2018.

What happened to make Smith drop 37 spots? He didn’t miss a game and either tied or matched career-highs in tackles for a loss, sacks, forced fumbles, and fumble recoveries. He continued to be used in so many ways to disguise defenses and kept the defense strong despite injuries an inept offense.

In many ways, the disrespect to Smith on this list should be considered an insult from his peers. He deserves to at least be in the top 50 of the league, if not higher. Thankfully, the safety is bound to be amazing no matter what kind of feedback he gets from his play on this list.
