6 things the Top 100 of 2019 got right and wrong about the Vikings

Right: The most polarizing Vikings player
Make no mistakes, there is no player on the team’s roster who divides the fan base more than Kirk Cousins can. There are times he makes great plays and other times when he looks like a player who isn’t ready to lead the franchise to the big game.
Cousins earned the number 78 spot on the countdown, up 16 spots from last year. That has to be due to him having career-highs with 30 touchdowns and a completion percentage of 70.1. He also had the second-most passing yards in a Vikings season, behind only Daunte Culpepper in 2004.
But there are reasons he can’t be too high on the list. He needs to be more secure with the football. In 2018, he threw ten interceptions and had nine fumbles on the year while absorbing 40 sacks. An improved offensive line and rushing attack will help those numbers, but so will better decision-making.
A winning record in 2018 and some help for the offensive line doesn’t do much to give naysayers a lot of hope for Cousins heading into 2019. Plus, he will need to prove he can get big wins over tough teams with winning records and bring the Vikings to the playoffs. If he can do that, people should quiet down a bit.
