6 things the Top 100 of 2019 got right and wrong about the Vikings

Wrong: The Sack Daddy dropping off
2018 was a rough year for Everson Griffen. He missed 5 games of the season due to some mental health issues and that resulted in him having his lowest sack output since becoming a starter for Minnesota. Otherwise, when he is on the field, he is a well-respected pass rusher.
Last year, Griffen skyrocketed to the number 19 spot on the Top 100 list, but this year he was nowhere to be found. If this list was based only on his numbers from the 2018 season, it would make sense that he’s not on the list, but basing it on his career and production expectations for 2019 makes this kind of absurd.
There should be no reason Everson Griffen is totally off the list. If he can keep himself together and stay on the field, odds are he will return to his former self and be the player who had double-digit sacks in three of the four years before 2018 and keep opposing blockers honest with no double teams.
If that can happen, Griffen should be a no-brainer to return to the list in 2020. But, at least for now, his peers seem to have forgotten what he is capable of and what he has accomplished over the years with the Vikings…and he can prove them wrong on the field.
