Ryan Ramczyk – OT

The Vikings’ offensive line is expected to be much improved this season, but having this big ol’ nasty road grader on the squad would make the unit even better.

Ryan Ramczyk has become one of the top right tackles in the NFL today. He is a wall against opposing pass rushers and he can move just about anyone out of the way in the running game.

Adding Ramczyk to Minnesota’s roster would change the team’s offensive line quite a bit. Brian O’Neill currently mans the right tackle spot for the purple, but Ramczyk would likely take over this role. The Vikings would then likely shift O’Neill over to the left side and have him compete with Riley Reiff for the left tackle job.

O’Neill is certainly athletic enough to play the left side of the line and that could be where he ends up at some point in his career. Whether Reiff or O’Neill wins that job would be irrelevant, the biggest help would be just the depth that would be added.

Right now, Minnesota’s offensive line is one injury away from disaster. Having a solid backup left tackle like Reiff or O’Neill would be huge. If one of the starters were to go down, the Vikings could plug in the next man and know that the offense would likely continue to function just fine.

Ramcyzk wouldn’t just improve the right side of Minnesota’s line, he’d improve the left side as well. Kirk Cousins would have all the time in the world to throw the ball and Dalvin Cook and company would find huge running lanes to zip through.
