Mike Boone – RB

After fighting his way onto the Vikings’ regular season roster in 2018, Mike Boone has been a bit of an afterthought this year. However, Boone made sure to remind everyone just how talented he is during Minnesota’s preseason win over the Saints.

On his first three carries of the night, Boone only managed to accumulate a total of six rushing yards. But on his fourth attempt, the young Vikings running back took the ball and scored a touchdown on a 64-yard scamper.

Boone finished the game in New Orleans as Minnesota’s leading rusher with 70 yards on four carries. He also scored the Vikings’ only rushing touchdown of the night.

Plays like his long run against the Saints are what kept him on Minnesota’s roster last year. If Boone is able to continue performing well during the preseason, it’s going to be very difficult for the Vikings to cut him loose in a few weeks.
