The Minnesota Vikings had a successful first week of the 2019 preseason, but can they build off of it with the Seattle Seahawks coming to town?

By most accounts, the first week of the preseason was a success for the Minnesota Vikings. With an offense that looked sharp on its first drive and a running game that was suddenly revitalized, the Vikings were able to pick up a victory over the New Orleans Saints last week. But it was the little things that made fans more optimistic about what this season could bring.

However, that brings up the biggest challenge of the preseason. With the final score meaning nothing in the long run, Minnesota’s biggest challenge as the preseason rolls along is to build off the things they are doing well and fine-tune what they need to work on before the regular season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on September 8.

This week, that challenge will represent a familiar foe as the Vikings host the Seattle Seahawks. While the Seahawks are not the Legion of Boom that they once were, they’re still a gritty team with plenty of weapons that can make things difficult for Minnesota.

With this game to be featured in front of a nationally televised audience, the Vikings will look to continue to build on what they established last week and take another step forward in preparation for 2019.
