5 biggest Minnesota Vikings fantasy football risks of 2019

Outside of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, the wide receiver room in Minnesota is a bit of a mess this year.
Laquon Treadwell was selected 23rd overall in the 2016 NFL Draft and the Vikings thought they had their next stud wide receiver. Now, he may be on the block for getting cut or may even get traded before the season starts.
Minnesota has brought in a countless number of guys over the years, but now they are relying on players like Chad Beebe, Jordan Taylor, Bisi Johnson, Dillon Mitchell, and Jeff Badet to step up, make the roster and have an impact as the third receiver on the team.
Fantasy owners have waited and waited for a guy like Treadwell to produce. But now who do they turn to?
Until the current preseason is over, we may not know exactly who is going to be taking the workload as the Vikings’ third wide receiver this year.
A lot of guesses lean towards Beebe being the guy. He’s flashed in camp and he looked solid last year as well.
Here’s where the deep fantasy football league owners go nuts though. The 14,16, even 18 team leagues love to jump on guys before the next guy can get on their scent. They try to find value, but who is that guy going to be?
Minnesota picked a couple of wide receivers late in this year’s draft in Mitchell and Johnson. These two guys are currently fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster. These deeper league fantasy owners are trying to find that next guy that’s going to step up and produce quality numbers as the third receiver off the bench.
With all the names waiting to see if they make the roster or how much playing time they’ll get, you’re playing with fire trying to decipher this puzzle right now and the risk is far too high to think you can rely on one of these players for your fantasy team.
