Adrian Peterson – RB

Adrian Peterson is one of the bigger names on this list. His career with the Vikings speaks for itself. He was simply one of the greatest running backs in team history.

Peterson played with an unmatched combination of speed and power. He could plow would be tacklers right over or stiff-arm them into tomorrow. Peterson could also outrun just about anyone once he hit top gear.

He was a truly electrifying player and he was extremely fun to watch every Sunday. Now his career wasn’t without some negatives which included injuries, fumbling issues, and his off-the-field issues. But he’ll go down as one of the best who ever put on the horned helmet.

Peterson wasn’t extended by Minnesota following the 2016 season and he signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints. He didn’t light the world on fire in New Orleans and he was having trouble landing touches with Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram also in the backfield.

Soon a team in the desert came calling after losing their star running back to an injury and Peterson found himself on the Cardinals.

Peterson started six games for Arizona during the 2017 season, rushing for 448 yards and a couple of touchdowns. His fumbling issues persisted, but he did have a couple of nice games.

It’s crazy, but this guy is still going strong in the NFL. He is coming off a 1,000-yard season for the Washington Redskins at the age of 34. Love him or hate him, Peterson is a special talent that both the Cardinals and Vikings got to witness first hand.
