Dalvin Cook – RB

Will we finally get to see Dalvin Cook in live action this Saturday? Just about every report coming out of this year’s training camp has raved about how good Cook looks.

Everyone is expecting this guy to have a huge season this year and the masses are dying to buy into this hype. They just want to see it with their own eyes first.

It makes sense the Vikings are being cautious with their top running back during the preseason. Cook has missed 17 games in his two-year career so far and he has been labeled injury-prone whether that is fair or not. Minnesota would hate to see him get hurt in a meaningless preseason game.

That being said, it would be nice for Cook to see a little live-action before things get real on September 8 against the Atlanta Falcons.

It could help to get a few hits out of the way just to knock off that rust that accumulates over the offseason. Getting those out of the way in the preseason could help Cook be a bit more ready and not one bit apprehensive when the games actually mean something.

If Cook does stay healthy, he should have a huge season. He’ll not only be a threat on the ground, but in the passing game as well. He has the talent be a guy who ends a season with over 1,000 receiving yards and 1,000 rushing yards. Maybe we’ll all get a glimpse of this potential on Saturday.
