Kyle Carter – TE

As we progress with this list it appears everyone on it started with the Vikings and then ended up with the Bills. It’s kind of odd, but anyway here’s another guy who began his career with Minnesota and is currently fighting for a job on Buffalo’s roster. This man is Kyle Carter.

Carter was signed as an undrafted free agent after the 2016 NFL Draft by the Vikings and he worked his way onto their practice squad. He was on and off Minnesota’s practice squad for a bit, but he did eventually get signed to the active roster late in the 2017 season.

Despite appearing in three games with the Vikings that year, he never accumulated a recordable statistic. He was cut for good by Minnesota in January of 2018.

Since his departure from the Vikings, Carter spent some time with the New York Giants and the Seattle Seahawks before agreeing to terms with the Bills. He was on Buffalo’s practice squad to finish the 2018 season and was recently re-signed by the team this past July.

Carter is a long shot to make Buffalo’s roster and he probably knows that. He’s a scrappy player and maybe one day he’ll work his way into some game action for the Bills, just like he once did with Minnesota.
