The Minnesota Vikings will wrap up their preseason on Thursday night in a road matchup against the Buffalo Bills. What should fans keep an eye on?

The Minnesota Vikings are in the home stretch of the preseason and with a trip to Buffalo on the docket to face the Bills on Thursday night, the Vikings are close to escaping the preseason without any crippling developments or injuries.

By tradition, the fourth preseason game is the most meaningless of the group and features teams trying to be as vanilla as possible schematically and protecting as many key players as they can. For those on the roster bubble, however, Thursday’s game could be the difference between landing on the active roster, being placed on the practice squad, or not having a job at all.

For the Vikings, a lot of the key spots on their active roster are already sewn up. There weren’t many starting spots on the field to begin with and as the Minnesota Vikings return a majority of their veterans from a year ago, there’s a good chunk of the gameday roster that could be considered locked in when Minnesota takes the field.

However, there are still several key battles that need a resolution and Thursday’s game will go a long way in determining which way they will go.
