Wide Recievers (5)

  • Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Chad Beebe, Olabisi Johnson, Brandon Zylstra

If there’s one thing that can be said about the wide receiver depth chart, it’s that Laquon Treadwell won’t be on this team.

Treadwell has reportedly been shopped for the past two weeks by the Vikings and even if they can’t find a trade partner, the former first-round pick has done enough damage to the point where Minnesota might just decide to be done with it.

That should open up a roster spot (barring a trade for another receiver) and it looks like there will be an infusion of youth behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen.

Olabisi Johnson had a tremendous preseason and he didn’t even play in Thursday’s preseason finale at Buffalo, meaning his job is probably safe. Chad Beebe has also been impressive and he has added value as a holder if the Vikings want to move on from punter Matt Wile.

That leaves the final spot for Brandon Zylstra, who may not be an impact player, but he provides a solid contribution on special teams that other players such as Treadwell don’t.

This position group could also get shaken up with a potential trade. But if Minnesota stands pat, they could see a lot of new faces on the field in 2019.
